The SIOR designation is highly regarded by corporate executives, brokers, agents, lenders, and skilled practitioners. Duke was notably the only commercial agent in Stanislaus County to hold this designation and was among just 3,900 professionals worldwide to achieve this honor.

In addition to his SIOR credentials, Duke was a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), a designation that recognizes expertise in commercial and investment real estate. This designation, represented by the CCIM lapel pin, is earned through a rigorous process that ensures proficiency in both theory and practice. CCIM designees are recognized leaders in the field, including brokers, leasing professionals, investment counselors, asset managers, and other industry experts.

Duke was also a proud alumnus of the University of California, Berkeley, where he played Varsity Football for the Cal Bears and served as the team captain in 1978. During his time with the Cal Bears, he earned a spot on the “All American, All Pac-10” team. He also played rugby for the Bears, contributing to several championship teams. His passion for sports was further recognized with his induction into the Lodi Sports Hall of Fame in 1990.
